Great job!

Great job, love the style and instruments. Go Zelda! definitely Zeldalike, I can hear the choral parts too. I like it. Yeah I know endings are terrible aren't they. So I'm afraid I'll have to dock a point until you learn to make em better =), probably should have done a fade out type ending perhaps. More appropriate I think.

Orion928 responds:

lol, thx 4 the review and constructive criticism. ^__^
there arent any choral parts, i think it just sounds like that because of the reverb environment i used. Imrelatively skilled with a reverb engine and know how to get the right chords out of certain environments using the overtones in a clarinet and trombone (you can thank my physics and band teachers XD).

I really didnt realise how zeldaish it actually was when i made it lol, but zeldas awesome :3 .

Good ambience.

Oh my... You clasissists are a depressed bunch aren't ya, BlizzardTears, MaestroSorrow, MeastroRage.... dearie me... ok about the song, good, but I wouldn't call it classical, too much ambience, electronic influences. Nice violins, I probably would have come up with a better title and tired to add a bit more emphasis on the violins but on the whole good job.

Great feeling.

If I made a movie out of the story that I've had running through my head for the last 4 odd years this would star several of the scenes. It carries the feeling of the title brilliantly and you've done a great job of building around the original melody, if you can you should orchestrate it, it'd come out really well.

shadow6nothing9 responds:

This is a very personal song to me that I made, and I'm working on building upon this song right now and I'm curious to hear an idea for your story, maybe it will help Pm me.

Thanks for the review

Good.

I'll be straight, this is a very good song, and you have talent, but this song doesn't warrant a 4.5, perhaps a 3.5 would have been better. Why? Because of the the following reasons.... First is that it's a bit repetative, and secondly... do you have any idea how good this would sound if you did a proper orchestration!!! I mean from 1 -40 you could have that tune then at around 40 you begin a slow crescendo adding in strings and a low thundering layer of drums to about 1.00 where it should be at around fever pitch from anticipation... then you bring in the brass and increase the drum levels, big booming ones, along with strings do the main tune till around 1.40 then after that slowly bring it to a fade out.
This song has a great tune but you could really really improve on it. Come on see if you can!

Jebbal responds:

Did you read my author comments! I AM planning on extending this song! Fully orchestrated of course. Thanks for showing this little tune some love! I love it too so lets be cousins.

Review: [Appreciated!]

Now go ask an admin to raise your score to a 10. 8 is just not high enough.

Good, Good.

It's good, but nothing spectacular, nice and calming, I quite like it, it has a nice soothing quality although perhaps a bit more background might have been nicer.

BlazingDragon responds:

I think the bass overwhelmed the piano piano and some of its subtleties. :( I need to work on that. :P

Thanks for the review!

Nice...

Nice, as I've said before, a musician should always play from their heart and you do that. Who cares if it aint perfect... Its PERFECT! And doesn't need any changes. Simple as that.

Nice

Hmmm this is a nice calming sorta song. I really like it. It sounds a lot like several songs I've heard from you, Time for one. I enjoyed it and will keep enjoying. Nicely done, again.

Innnncredible.

I've been listening to your songs for almost as long as you've been putting them on Newgrounds and I have to admit you've come a long way and the best thing is, you've never lost your heart, a musician should play from their heart and you do that in every song you play. This song has that incredible feel of the epic to it, that's an understatement, I don't think many of the classical artists here can do that (my opinion, I'm allowed to have it!). I don't know how you do it but you're pieces have improved drastically, especially with orchestrals. This one especially is encredible, the improvement, I noted, was when you started using drums =). Bring them out baby and let the thunder! Oh yes, that last bit needed some big bass drums to add to the effect, thunder! Tremble enemies Tremble! Seriously, have you ever heard 10 african Djembe play? they literally shake the building to its foundations, the sound really carries. I'd be scared if an army came against me with 200 battle drums thundering a battle march. Go on give it a go! That's my opinion anyway. Well done. Once again Milkman-Dan.

Very very good.

*Taps on glass and stands up*

Seriously, I've been here for a while and all I can say is that you are definitely in the top artist category. Nice going and keep the feeling in your music, it's what really makes you great.

kelwynshade responds:

Thanks a lot. I appreciate it.

Woah woah woah!

Woah dude you just grabbed my heart and squeezed.... hard! Holy smokes! It makes me feel funny inside. Amazing! Oh man I love this song. Intense emotion, beautiful instruments, love the drums. Great quality, heck you just made yourself one of my favourite artists!

kelwynshade responds:

Haha. Nice. This is another one of those songs where I chose an instrument, hit record, and just made it up as I went.

Glad you liked this one.

I'm a Christian, and I'm perfectly willing to debate theology if you want.
